Ytterbium Fluoride description

Ytterbium Fluoride is a water insoluble Ytterbium source for use in oxygen-sensitive applications, such as metal production. Fluoride compounds have diverse applications in current technologies and science, from oil refining and etching to synthetic organic chemistry and the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

Fluorides are also commonly used to alloy metals and for optical deposition. Ytterbium is applied to fiber amplifier and fiber optic technologies and in lasing applications. It has a single dominant absorption band at 985 in the infrared useful in silicon photocells to convert radiant energy to electricity. Ytterbium Fluoride is generally immediately available in most volumes.

Ultra high purity, high purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered. Nanochemazone produces to many standard grades when applicable, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, Reagent and Technical Grade; Food, Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Grade; Optical Grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia) and follows applicable ASTM testing standards.

Typical and custom packaging is available, as is additional research, technical and safety (MSDS) data. Please follow the Contact links above to request a quote, and indicate the quantity and any specifications you require.
