Molybdenum Sulfide is a moderately water and acid soluble Molybdenum source for uses compatible with sulfates. Sulfate compounds are salts or esters of sulphuric acid formed by replacing one or both of the hydrogens with a metal.
Application:
Due to weak van der Waals interactions between the sheets of sulfide atoms, MoS 2 has a low coefficient of friction. MoS 2 in particle sizes in the range of 1–100 µm are a common dry lubricant. Few alternatives exist that confer high lubricity and stability at up to 350 °C in oxidizing environments. Sliding friction tests of MoS 2 using a pin on disc tester at low loads (0.1–2 N) give friction coefficient values of <0.1. MoS 2 are often a component of blends and composites that require low friction.

Uses:
The main use of zirconia is in the production of hard ceramics, such as in dentistry,[9] with other uses including as a protective coating on particles of titanium dioxide pigments,[2] as a refractory material, in insulation, abrasives and enamels.
Zirconium Oxide Powder is used in oxygen sensors and fuel cell membranes because it has the ability to allow oxygen ions to move freely through the crystal structure at high temperatures. This high ionic conductivity (and a low electronic conductivity) makes it one of the most useful electroceramics.[2] Zirconium dioxide is also used as the solid electrolyte in electrochromic devices.
Zirconia is a precursor to the electroceramic lead zirconate titanate (PZT), which is a high-K dielectric, which is found in myriad components.

Tungsten silicide is a replacement for earlier tungsten films. Tungsten silicide is also used as a barrier layer between silicon and other metals, e.g. tungsten. Tungsten silicide is also of value towards use in micro electro mechanical systems, where it is mostly applied as thin films for fabrication of micro scale circuits.
Application:
It is used in microelectronics as a contact material, with resistivity 60–80 μΩ cm; it forms at 1000 °C. It is often used as a shunt over polysilicon lines to increase their conductivity and increase signal speed. Tungsten silicide layers can be prepared by chemical vapour deposition, e.g. using monocline or dichlorosilane with tungsten hexafluoride as source gases. The deposited film is non-Stoichiometric, and requires annealing to convert to more conductive Stoichiometric form.
