Description:

Highly magnetic. Soluble in aqua regia and nitric acid. Although stable in dry air, it reacts rapidly in moist air, especially in the presence of CO2. It reacts with chlorine gas during burning. When heated with water vapor, nickel oxide and boric acid can be formed.
