Niobium and columbium are synonymous names for the chemical element with atomic number 41; columbium was the name given in 1801, and niobium (Nb) was the name officially designated by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry in 1950.

Niobium is gray metal, a melting point 2468 ℃, boiling point 4742 ℃, the density. Niobium stable in air at room temperature, the red is not completely in the oxygen oxidation, high temperature directly combined with sulfur, nitrogen, carbon, can form with titanium, zirconium, hafnium, tungsten alloy. Not with inorganic acid or alkali, not soluble in aqua regia, but soluble in hydrofluoric acid.

Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
