Rhenium is a chemical element with the symbol Re and atomic number 75. It is a silvery-gray, heavy, third-row transition metal in group 7 of the periodic table. With an estimated average concentration of 1 part per billion (ppb), rhenium is one of the rarest elements in the Earth’s crust.

Ammonium Perrhenate is a kind of white powder with a molecular weight of 268.242. Its relative density is 3.97. It is one of the salt compounds formed by the rhenium element, and it is also the most widely used rhenium compound in industry. It can be used as an oxidant and as a raw material for rhenium tungsten wire.
