Product Information
Tantalum is a chemical element with the symbol Ta and atomic number 73. Previously known as tantalum, Tantalum is a very hard, ductile, lustrous, blue-gray transition metal that is highly corrosion-resistant. Electrical current flows through the heating element and generates heat. This type of resistance heater is responsible for creating high temperatures in the furnace. Our components are made from molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum, niobium and their alloys are perfectly designed for this task. Tantalum heating elements are well-known for their strength and stability in high-heat applications. They are often alloyed with other compounds to improve corrosion resistance and strength at temperatures up to 1200°C.

Typical bulk packaging includes palletized plastic 5 gallon/25 kg. pails, fiber and steel drums to 1 ton super sacks in full container (FCL) or truck load (T/L) quantities. Research and sample quantities and hygroscopic, oxidizing or other air sensitive materials may be packaged under argon or vacuum. Solutions are packaged in polypropylene, plastic or glass jars up to palletized 440 gallon liquid totes Special package is available on request.
