The self-fluxing alloys refer to deoxidized elements containing boron and silicon and have a low melting point. During the heating and melting process, the composition of the alloy can reduce the oxides of itself and the substrate to form a low-melting borosilicate slag covering. It is an alloy material that can prevent the oxidation of the alloy and improve the wettability on the surface, so that the alloy and the substrate can obtain a good metallurgical combination. The bonding strength of the welding layer of the self-fluxing alloy and the base material is generally 300-500Mpa. According to different chemical compositions, the welding layer with different hardness of HRC 15-65 can be obtained. The spray welding process is mainly suitable for places where the impact load is large, the thermal fatigue environment and the requirements for workpiece deformation are not strict.
Nickel-based powders are mainly nickel-chromium-boron-silicon alloys and nickel-boron-silicon alloys. The common characteristics of this type of alloy are low melting point, good self-fluxing, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and oxidation resistance and other comprehensive functions. It is the earliest and most widely used self-fluxing alloy.

Main Uses And Processes:
It is recommended for repair and pre-protection surfacing of glass molds, various forming molds, shaft sleeves, crankshafts, cast iron parts and machine tool guide rails. Suitable for flame spray welding and spraying, plasma spray welding, laser fusion welding and supersonic spraying processes.
